Not sure if any of you have even had the luck of grasping this game for PC, but I have luckly made a safe download of it. Now, I loved Resident Evil 2, for basically every system I played it for, but since I sold all my consoles, and the only trace of any of tyhem is a lowly memory card from my Gamecube with lots of Fantasy Star crap on it, I can't play it any othwer way then on the computer. Basically it's the same, but a little better ggrahpics and sound wise.

Since most of you have played this on one of the consoles, what are your thoughts? Would you get this for computer, if you could?

I had the choice to download it for PC or PSX, and i chose the playstation, simply because It was great back then and it was great a few weeks ago. When I beat it. Again.

Resident Evil 2 was the first RE game I ever palyerd, and it was incredibly great. brings back memories.
Anyways I ahve Silent hill 1 fo the computer, and it doesn't compare. PSX>PC

I am afraid I can't agree or disagree with you rhere as of yet. See, my Resident Evil experience started out with the very first one on the Playstation. I simply loved it, although dieing a lot did get old after awhile, I still loved it. When I played part 2, I loved it even more. Thus far, I have yet to try Resident Evil 2 for computer, but once I do I will make a more in-depth imput on which one I favor more.

Thing is, it's RARE on the PC now. It would go for like ovwer 100 dollars on ebay, I think. But since it's so rare, people just ripped it and resorted to downloading it off of the internet instead of overpaying for an actual copy. ;)

I accually DO have the original PC version. No box or anything, Just the Cd's and case (My uncle gave me a WHOLE bunch of old PC games for some reason and that was one of the games he gave) I also have the third one on PC. Resident evil 2 Was my first RE game also. I just got RE4 and it's great so far, I'm only at the begining though.

RE2 PC is the best version out of all the ports (it's the same as the N64 version, but with psx graphics and cutscenes). I have it and have yet to mess much with it, seeing as I also have it for GCN, DC, and PSX. The default controls work fine after a few minutes of getting used to it, and im not sure if there is gamepad support. Good game on any system though.

You seem to always lack the time to give me the game, too. I want to play it on my PC since I really don't feel like going out and buying it for a system. You know how I am Wes. If I don't get it by this friday, I'm going to lay on this horn, BIGTIME.

K After doing what the above post suggested, I hijacked my copy of Re2 for the PC, and I love it! The load times are shorter, you can slip the oening door sequences, and the grahpics are better then PS1's and a little lower then the Gamecube Remakes. I'm loving it. :D

You find a way to fix that wierd lag problem? I'm thinking it may have just been the rip. Mess around with the settings a bit more, maybe something needs to be not on highest, lol, i just threw everything on highest.

Na, it was evident that it may be my computer, but I'm not sure. I set the grahpics to intel1420 and it ran better then yours did but it had a few grahpical errors, like little cubic lines through certain areas. Besides that it ran better, and looked a little better in some areas. The ice room in the Chem, ical Plnt didn't lag at all. :p

Blah. I won't go out and buy a console to just play a single game, you know that. Better to see if they made it for PC, for me. Also, try to see what problem i may be having. You're the one who gave me the game so you might be able to help better me. :p
