RSI from computer. HELP! i think i have one, my whole right arm doesn't feel normal. I don't feel comfortable from my hand to the side of my neck when i use a mouse or type on the keyboard.

anyone have the same problem? even before? is it because im typing from a laptop. im very afraid that this might just end my computer career. =\

any advice to prevent and heal this problem? will physical therapist massage solve it? is this going to get worst if i still continue on using the computer? i still want to be on the computer time to time tho.

so please, anyone who knows a lot about this tell me more about it. thanks.

ok i already check out most site relating to this, but i want more actual live responses from people, like in this forum.

i just got recently by the way.

Don't spend so much time on the computer. Is it because of the way you are sitting, make sure your computer area is ergonomic. I remember my chair was too high and i had to look down too far to see my monitor, my neck hurt like hell some nights. I couldn't even move it sometimes without getting sharp pains.

Do you do any regular exercise? If you don't use your arm much, it might be because of that. Exercise you arms, imo.

^ok, thank you very much for the advise. yes i think its the monitor as well since im using a laptop on a computer table. i still dont know if the laptops height is accurate with my head/eye/hand.

i do some minor exercises as well but i will try stretching and strengthening my arms first before i use the computer.

actually im not used to good sitting posture and when i try it now it feels like it just worsening the pain more, but ofcourse thats just because im still not used to it.

Stop masturbating.
^ thanks. that obviously helps.

anyone else, i want to know the complete healing procedure from those who have recover from this curse.

..the only way i can download pron all day is with my wireless keyboard, and trackball mouse...it elimates most of the moving involved, and i can keep my arms in front of me for the most part

carpel tunnel? maybe thats my problem too. so have you actually overcome and healed your injury? did you stop using your laptop on your desktop pc table? Do the wireless keyboard and trackball mouse helps? are you ok with your arm now because of that? thanks.

you never really get rid of carpel tunnel, but certain things make it really bad ie. vibration, repetitive motion, using your hands a lot...shit like that

the trackball mouse helps cause i dont have to move my wrist, only my fingers...and the wireless keyboard lets me put it in my lap and type which is the most comfortable position for me

and yes, im still using my laptop with my desktop pc table, i also use a wacom pad from time to time...but thats getting pretty expensive

ok, thanks. i will stop at nothing to get my right hand back to normal. first i will buy and external kerboard for my laptop since i think typing to much on my laptop triggered it.
