Recording gameplay

If i wanted to record some of my time spend playing LOD or even diablo 1, so i could make a short video of me fighting or generally having fun, how would i do that?

A video capture program.

The only one I know of specificly is FRAPS, but you have to buy it. There are other ways of getting it also.

yeh i heard about that one. i made this thread in the hopes of being told of another one, i think a friend of mine has FRAPS.

no but it "finds" them, like he said.

and i woudl recommend using camtasia, works great for me as long as you have it in a window, turn on window and nohide, youll have a nice great picture also as long as your video card doesnt suck.

I think it only allows for 30 second clips (you would have to edit them together). Shouldn't be too much a problem, duels don't usually last more than 30 seconds.

No the full version records sound, the Freeware version doesn't, and the freeware version was being discussed.

actually the freeware version does record sound i used to use it

friend using freeware version of fraps (You can see the watermark at top) sound works
