Realm Down?

Hey Guys, I hope i posted this in the right area... but i have a question about Realm Downs... I went to bed last night with a Realm Down error and when I woke up this morning, i still have the same error on the Character Select screen....anyone know how to fix this and if it is fixable? re-installing game needed? thank you, any information is appreciated.

If my memory serves, there was a way to get around that. I can't remember how though. Resetting your router maybe? If not that, then waiting it out is probably the most viable option.

is there a time limit for these things? like how long i will be kicked off for? cuz its been well over 14 hours heh.

A few hours to a day I would say, at the best. I used to restart my router then reconnect. It fixed the problem for me.

When I had realm down, longest one was about 8 hours,

shortest, about 5 min?

Wasnt it resetting your router like you said DM?

Well, resetting it let me reconnect so maybe if it worked for me it might workl for him.

its bascily a softcore ip ban, reconnect to the net if you have 56k/dsl and you should be able to get back on, if you have cable, your screwed.

What do you mean by "Softcore ip ban", do you mean theres "hardcore ip ban" as well? For hardcore chars? :S
