In this corner, a sadistic half-vampire dominatrix with daddy issues and a vindictive mean streak. She hates her own kind and has spent decades slaughtering every single one she can find! Abilities include Aura Vision, Super Speed, Blood Rage, and sarcastic dark humor. Weapons include her two large arm blades, her two large guns, and her two large sweaterpuppets. Introducing: Rayne!

And in this corner, a snarky half-demon swordsman and technometal enthusiast! He's spent an indeterminable amount of time trying to live up to his legendary father's legacy, and makes a buck by hunting down and putting the beat-down on any demonic nasty who dares to show its mangled face in the human world. Abilities include stylish and agile swordsmanship, nigh-indestructibility, and the power to get really pissed off and temporarily turn into a demonic engine of destruction. Weapons include his massive gothic two-hander sword, his twin semi-auto pistols Ebony and Ivory, and that classy red trench coat. Give it up for: Dante!

Although in actuality they're both good guys and would probably team up to beat the **** out of any supernatural baddies around, who do you think would win out when they inevitably end up clashing? Gotta say I favor Dante, but Rayne is a bad bitch and could do some damage.

Uh, Dante. His games are much cooler. And vampires are gay.

Didn't even play Bloodrayne. Devil May Cry games were pretty cool for renting and Dante was relatively cool in them except DMC2 he was a bitch. Demons are cooler than Vampires (but it's not cool to pretend to be either one, Jafar). Plus DMC games have more American teeteez.

Rayne's fun and doesn't get much respekt. Kinda overlooked, in spite of the fact that the games spawned two absolutely horrible Uwe Boll movies.

Man, Dante vs Raziel would be interesting. Kinda hard for Raziel to ever really lose...and I'm sure SOMEHOW Dante is killable, even though evidence is somewhat to the contrary...Raziel just goes spectral and remanifests once he's consumed enough energy.

It depends. It Blood Rayne's power is decided on whether or not Dante is dealing with anything above 'Easy' on Devil May Cry 3. I was so bad at Devil May Cry 3. I died so many times in the 2nd/3rd elvel where you fight the 3-4 Grim Reapers. The game finally goes "Look you suck ass, try this on easy mode." Kinda cool way to unlock easy mode though.

No. Just DMC3. I'm not even joking, either. After I died like the 20th ****ing time it let me go to a lower difficulty. It was awesome. Then I rocked the game until you fight you brother at the very end. He whooped my ass around 291202 times before I finally beat him.

For me it was Cerberus at the end of Mission 3 who threw me around enough for the game to say "hey, wanna try something a little easier there sport?" Vergil the second time around (when he uses the Beowulf Guantlets) freaking creamed me like 20 times too.

The Special Edition version of the game is significantly easier, AND you can unlock Vergil as a playable character. He owns so hard, changes the entire way you play.

DMC3 is one of my favorite games, but it was pretty punishing first-release.
