It's been done, the key is to do more than create some stuff, add materials, and render...things like editing it help as well..."abstract" isn't generally done as one image in one program...

I find it a bit ironic that someone with your signature would post this...

Actually so do I. I didn't really post it to see what people though of it, more than see what people think would make it look better PS wise, such as cut big chunks out and stuff like on some pretty pimp looking BG's ive seen before

I suggest trying to do some of that cool pixie shit that people do to their images..I can't do it very well, but maybe you will have better luck ..

like in that brush i made... its called "pixel art" and im not too bad at it... but i dont like doing it bc its boring and takes too long for such a small output

...brushes are horrid for such things, the 2d work should be done specifically for the image it's for, not generically.
