I've set up d2jsp on my computer 3 times already and I always get it to work. I've even helped a stranger on useast set it up on his own pc from scratch and it worked great too. now my nephew is trying to set it up on his computer, but d2path always comes out invalid. the d2x game and d2jsp are all on his d: drive (partition) instead of the usual c: drive, would that cause a problem?

yah I was gonna tell my nephew that but the game and all his stuff is on the d: partition because c: is full and is mainly reserved for his dad's business stuff. :p the kids are supposed to put their junk only on the d: partition. just wanted to see if it does pose a problem before he decides what to do.

Go to d2jsploader.ini and starter.ini in the folder that the bot is installed and change the path from there

no that wouldn't cause it. d2jsp is installed on c:, while D2 is installed on e: on my drive.
if he's downloading a d2jspLoader.ini file from you or someone else for as little configuration as possible, then this is probably causing the problem.

Good luck.

I had him double-check where his game is installed and apparently the shortcut leads to c: drive. he made the path corrections but it crashed for some other reason. it's probably a really big mess on his computer for now, so I may just tell him to uninstall all instances of d2 and install everything clean again on his d: drive along with d2jsp. theoretically everything should work fine after that.
