Questions about Xbox Live :: I am confused

If I get Xbox Live and i have a very slow computer with medium-high-speed internet, will it affect the gaming while online? Will the games I enter start lagging like hell? Will the games or my computer always freeze?

Also. Would it be better to buy the 3 month starter kit with the headset before I buy a full year subscription?

hmmm as long as you have cable internet you should be fine. I bought this xbox live starter thing came with a free 1 year subscription, headset, and a free game.

Your comp doesnt affect it. If you have DSL or cable you should be fine.
Yeah, the starter thing is 1 year pal. If you don't mind resetting your stats yearly, its the best deal. Same cost (at most places) as a year subscrip... Plus headset and a game.

all you need is a router. You plug your xbox in 1 port, and your computer in the other, and then your router into your modem. Therefor the connection never goes though your shitty computer and your perfectly safe. And with a router, your computer wont interfere with any of the traffic.

I have a router with DSL, and unplugging my laptop actually gets rid of in-game lag... I must have a weak DSL connection.

Oh.. OK. But Halo 2 Xbox Live isnt Buddism. Its Halo2-is-better-than-starwars-battlefront-ism. But Battlefront kicks ass, its like my 3rd favorite Xbox Game.
