Can I connect my Xbox with an ethernet cable directly to my computer and put music on it from there or only CD's. Also I try and burn a CD-R on my Xbox but it wont read it, whats the problem?

It wont read it because the stock bios on the xbox is ment to stop it from reading burned media. H4xz0r4t3 your xbox, then you can Yes you can transfer media via ftp, after its hacked You just need a cross over cable and a ethernet port on your computer.

Softmod or modchip it. There are also some CD-Rs the xbox will read, there's a list somewhere.

Its mostly just pressed cd's that the xbox will read without being modded. It really varies on which dvddrive is in your xbox, because some of them dont read any cd-r media at all, even after being hacked.
