Yes, the only problem is that in hell there are tons of fire immunes, but a good merc can kill all those guys, if you are forced to kill them.

Meteor takes to long for it to be of any use. Unless, of course, you get A high-cast rate, and town guard newbs.

Since the cast delay negates any cast rate items you're wearing, you would be the noob that I'm town-camping? Or am I even worse of a nooblar for towncamping (how that's a duel, I'm not sure)? Oh the delima.

Fire sorcs suck. They do good damage, but there is just way too many immunes.

I'm not sure what all these guys are on about but the answer is yes, the are decent. There's a reason (well, reasons) that you see so many of them.

-Easy to make.
-Don't need godly gear (although that helps...)
-Massive fireball damage
-Good for meph runs

That being said, they also have their problems. Fire immunes will drive you insane because you will be completely helpless against things like carvers in hell. If you're looking for a public PVP char a fire sorc is an option, but please don't be a newbie and townguard with meteor.
