Question about Upping....

I already read up how to up items and all that, like runes wise, but what exactly is the point of upping? Like what does it do, does it up defence for armor and damage for weapon or what? Please help me out.....

wow skuller, great explanation...

'upping' as you call it, upgrades the item type, such as light plate(normal) to mage plate (exceptional) to archon plate (elite)

it will upgrade the base defense of the item, such as upgrading a hoz from a gilded sheild to a zakarum sheild



all the qualities will stay the same, only the base item type will be changed (note that higher items require more strength/dexterity/level to use)

lol, thanks guys sorry for my impatients but I had to be in work and I was trying to figure all that crap out...oh and I found it on this other site not arreat all it said was what to use to up rare armor/weapon and unique armor/weapon......thanks again.

Sometimes you need to up items. It just works better than way. Mainly uniques are upped for more defense and greater damage. Like eth upped titans. Man, those pack a nasty punch in the mouth!
