Question About Diablo 2 on XP

is there a way that i can take diablo off of the control panel on the add/remove programs list, but still have it installed on my computer? becuz my dad is being a homo and doesnt want diablo on his computer cuz he thinks it ****s it up.. so i need to hide it from him, becuz he checks the add/remove program list all the time..

Hmm, not really, however if he doesn't check the add/remove programs, you could hide it in one of the folders on your "all programs" in one of the folders he never uses, that might sneek it.

yea i tried hiding it, i took it off the all program list and hid it in a secret folder >.< it doesnt stop him from finding it on the add/remove list. so theres no possible way of hiding it?

There is a way to remove it, just follow these directions.

Start>Run>Regedit

Than make your way to this section
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Diablo II]

"DisplayName"="Diablo II" <--- Change this if you want to hide it under a different name for later uninstall.

"UninstallString"="C:\\WINDOWS\\DIIUnin.exe C:\\WINDOWS\\DIIUnin.dat" Or delete this entire section to permanetly remove it from the list.

Note - once you do this you will no longer be able to uninstall from Add/Remove programs, you will have to add this info back to uninstall it. Or you can make your way to the DIIunin.exe in the windows folder. I suggest you make a backup copy of this registry settings and hide it somewhere safe.

No double posting please, use the Edit button if you wish to add on. I don't see why he thinks Diablo II ****s up the PC. The only thing that I know it does is stores characters locally in the files.

my mom used to think that a game i downloaded and played off the net (Helbreath. now called healbreathusa or helbreathint) was f***ing up the comp, but what it really was, was all the porn sites my younger bro visited regularly. =X
