Question about dc

if i've found the right ip adress and finally found one, what do i do next?
im very new to dclone i've just started making zealdin and need to know when im in the ip.

u could try look at the Diablo Clone hunting guide in the stickeys .

when you get the ip you gotta get maphack to show the ip of the game you go in. if you dont find the right one the first time you gotta keep trying.

i know that i have to get the right ip, but what im asking is if im in the right ip what do i do next? do i wait? if i do how long?

i got another small question. So by bieng in a right ip game, then you basically dont have to sell sojs to find him?

he'll randomly come and you dont need to sell em if you dont want to.

oh n heres a small question about anni.i know u can only have one in inventory, but can u have more than 1 if its not identified?

Yep. You could wait anywhere from 10 minutes to..well, a long time. Is it all worth a Anni, is the decision you must make.

i know u keep 1 in inventory, but what about the other one u find?
is true that u cant trade anni to other pplayerS?

seymore, when you spawn and kill dclone, he drops a unid anni (of course). Now what a lot of people do in search of "the" anni, the perfect or close anni, is sell the unid ladder anni, for 8x nonladder soj's... then you sell the nl soj's to merchants after you have a game on ladder in the hot IP thus getting your next anni faster... and on the process goes... but if you never ID you won't know if its perfect.. so keep 2-4 sojs each time instead of selling them, soon you will have quite a bit. Then you can start ID-ing your anni's. ID'd annis sell for less, maybe 2-4 nonladder soj's. But you hav already stockpile ~20 so you can keep going with this for a while. Sell 4 sojs to pop dclone, ID the anni, sell it for 2. Repeat over and over til you get a perfect than keep it.

And yes its true, you can't trade the anni and you can only hold one.

Well its true u can only have 1 anni at the time .. So if u dont want to trade your anni(s) u can mule them to another char. Also the only way to trade anni is drop trade.

i have couple of question. why do i sell anni for non ladder soj? why not ladder soj?
and where do i seel anni for sojs?

you sell them for nonladder SOJ's, because nl SOJs are MUCH cheaper, meaning you get more SOJs for your anni, since you're just using them to pop Dclone you want as many as you can get... and you can sell anni safely with a moderator in the game by going to one of MANY d2 trading IRC channels http://dcloneirc.net/

yes, I've done it with them many, many times. the mod takes my anni (ladder) in a game, and takes the other person's soj's (nonladder) in a different game. Then I go to a NL game and he gives me the sojs, other person goes to a ladder game and he gives them anni. The reason you can trust is that if someone rips you off, they get banned from the channel, and if they DONT rip you off, they get a 'vouch' which means everyone knows they haven't ripped anyone off so they can vouch for that person. So when you go in channel, get a mod to help you trade, and ask if someone can vouch for that mod.

the server I use is irc.dclone.org and the trade channel is #trade-east for east ladder/nonladder and #trade-west for west ladder/nonladder
