Today I got the new Quake.
The graphics look pretty requiring (hardware), the gameplay is exceptional in my opinion because the movement speed has been reduced alot (a little faster then half life's movement speed) and the weapons are incredible.

What do you guys think, is this going to be a succes like the previous game?
Also, state your impressions!

I love how the gaming industry fuels the hardware industry and vice versa.

yeah, actually at this time it pushes more the buyers, because the configurations for the latest game releases are very good, but expensive.

I swear, this game looks like an animated real-life nightmare, that you can control.

Hasn't been released in Malaysia yet, I believe, though.*

It's just another Doom3 rehash with different characters, a different (yet similar linear as ****) storyline, and crappy MP.

Granted it's still better than FEAR

I hate constantly needing to update my hardware to keep up with PC games damnit. I mean, I'm all for graphics, but I hate having to shell out another $150 for a new GFX card or even more for some more RAM. Unlike the majority of you here, I don't have super rich parents, and I only make .20 over minimum wage and work an avergae for 16-20 hours a week, I simply can't afford it.

Thats why you save and buy one of the 350/400ish videocards. Then you wont have to update for about 3years.

iMIKE is right.
Buy now a 7850 GTX or a X800.... and there will be nothing on the market to go over them for the next 3 years.
