Pwn! (the linguistic geeky side of the thing)

Hey guys, I'm new around here, so must apologize that my first post is a thread-starter.

Anyway, I was wondering how you pronounce 'pwn':

- as own, because that's what it's supposed to mean
- as pown, because it's obviously 'own' with a 'p' attached to it.
- as pawn
- something else

i use own cause thats what it originated from and pwn was just a mistype so look users used pwn instead of own. like leet and elite kinda thing

On occasion I'll use it in a chat type situation, but I've never felt comfortable with myself actually saying it in a real life context. Conceptually, I find it pronounced "pohn," but in real life I find myself using the word "owned" rather than "pwned." Generally it consists of laughing at peoples' misfortunes and saying "Owned, b*tch." I'm kind of a butthole to my friends...it's a wonder we never hang out.

You just dont like being disturbed or underestimated when you know you have control over your own situations and battles. All you need to do is not act like a jerk when you remind people of that. Even if it takes 100 posts or words to do it.

Did you even read what he wrote? He said when they get hurt or do something stupid he laughs and says they're owned. Not about if he's in control of his battles and situations.

Yes I read that. And I did see what it ment. But for jokes or sometimes depending on how we respond to him, he does that.

i say pawned. tbh i dont usually say pwned. i say ate. e.g i ****ing ate you on dota. e.g2: 2-14...youre getting eaten alive.

ive got a thing for eating ppl
