A man has died after an 86-hour gaming marathon. The incident occurred at an Internet café in a town 160 miles southwest of Seoul, where the man, who was unemployed, had been "virtually glued" to a computer since Friday, skipping sleep and meals. The man collapsed near the café's counter and was later found dead in the restroom. Many Internet cafés in South Korea are open 24 hours a day.

Well, look at that. So maybe playing games can kill you.

what a way to go... pretty sad that people take gaming that far. I heard something a while ago about this as well. It wasn't bad stuff though, I think it was about QuakeCon, something about the officials who run it making players take X amount of minutes out and regular breaks to avoid people getting sick and getting headaches, ect. I'd imagine some people could play games 24/7 if they didn't need to sleep and work. I know I probably could. I wonder how much money this guy was paying though... 86-hours straight at an internet-cafe? Those places charge alot of money, he must have been rackin' up the bill. Maybe he died when he saw the bill?

This is so sad, i mean i spend about 1/3 of my gaming tim on this site, another 1/3 on consoles and another actualy playing warcraft 3. and that takes up 25% of my life. 70% is hanging around wit da friends, and 0.001% is school and homework. and anything else is just lazing around.

So far, 3 people in Korean have died while playing Diablo 2.

That Game is so addictive they just cant leave the screen... not to drink, eat, sleep or shit...

Well I'm glad I haven't gotten Diablo 2 yet then. I would've died by now because I get addicted to games easily and end up spending about the first 10-20 hours straight on the game not getting out of it unless I have to reboot (Dang Windows!!!), having to use the bathroom, or having to eat (Food is the best).
