Alright... When you protect a map with PROEdit, is it possible to unprotect it? (Anyone know of any tool or way to do it?) And no, don't tell me "there's this program called GUEdit which can do this, and SCM Toolkit which does that" because almost everyone knows that you can defeat those protections.

I know that there's no links about unprotection, but I believe that discussion is allowed.

Although it pains me, I don't recommend using Proedit. It has an issue that can corrupt maps, or at least the strings in them, which is why I stopped using it. I just hope clokr_ gets that fixed at some point in the future. :(

The only difference between the proedit protection and others (guedit, scm toolkit) is that it deletes some data in the UNIT section (systematically, of course), and the only way to get the map working from that is to fill in the lost data with 0's. This corrupts some units, but you'll be able to edit everything else.

It also changes the values in the MRGN and the THG2 sections, adds an ending header, and adds two more strings.
