Prob with my Xbox that pisses me off....

OK i got a used Xbox for christmas, well, not used, it had a defect so the stor sent the consol back and got it fixed.
ok, so the games i own right now are:
halo
halo2
fable
hitman
need for speed underground
SW:battle front
NBAStreet:V2
mortal kombat deception

Now- heres the bitchin part about it-
Halo, which i also got used, only gave me the "your xbox cannot recognize this disc.." bullshit only one time, and that was during a cinematic, and it froze. i loaded it up again, works just fine.
My NBAstree v2 did that to me once, and one time for need for speed underground- here is the bad part and something i want some help on-
i bought my Fable used, i bought MK:deception at the same time, but fable was used so it was 10 bucks less, i was being cheap. anyway, all my games work fine-
EXCEPT THE ****ING FABLE
when i first poped the Fable into my Box, I automatically got the green/black screen "your xbox is a ****ing retard and cant recognize this damn disc..", and i had to retry the disc 4 more times. after the 2nd time it would get to the loading screens THEN freeze.
i got to about ONE total hour and a half on that game before the "your xbox cannot recognize this disc.."really pissed me off, so i went back to the place to get it cleaned- worked fine at Phatboy Video games, and fine at my Church. I took it home, had to re-insert the disc 3 times before it would work.
my friend Brandon rented Fable from Bloackbuster, so i got the bright idea to switch the 2 discs, and neither game had any scratches on it at all, but that fabel still doesnt work that well either, BUT, he said my fable worked just fine at his house...
i played it a few hours ago and every few minutes i would save it, just incase it froze on me. When you enter the Picnic area, there are like 6 civilians there, and one guard- whether a Summon kills him, or I do, it'll freeze as soon as he is dead. once i teleported, screen was just fine. turned the right knob to move, FREEZE, and after plaing the game for 3 hours today, i got a total of 45 minutes added to my game time- im still on day ONE in that game.
im just wandering- since all my games work just fine, and only the Fable ****s up every 5 minutes, im wandering if maybe its just a coincidence that the 2 fables dont want to work on my xbox, or if it is the Xbox itself-

any suggestions? please? ill give butt secks....?

its ur xbox, there something wrong with the lense that reads the disc. Samething happens to my Gamecube, the more u try it, the worse it could get. I suggest taking it back to the store and telling them. My Gamecube only plays old games like Defender or S Smash melee, the newer games dont work.

kinda thought it was the lense, but how can it read all my other games EXCEPT for the 2 Fables i have tried in it?

no idea, I think the newer games have different coding, more advance coding in it and it makes it imposible for ur xbox to read. Like the old PS2s they cant read any game with a blue back. I guess its the same with the xbox. Its either that or the lense. Maybe both.

Its because you got a tompson drive, thats why you dont get old used xboxs You gotta ask them to turn it on and hit eject on the dvd rom to see what drive it is (you know by the way the tray looks, i posted the images here in a link for cortalos before, just look for it), what you want is the sammy drive, but phillips is good too. If you still got a warentee, bring it back to where you got it and say "the dvdrom sucks in here, give me a new xbox"

or just buy a new XBOX with a phillips or samsung drive in it open em both up swap DVD drives and return the new one with the old DVD drive in it ^ ^, i did it so i could keep my HD and skin i got on my xbox hehe

this is originall what i thought was the problem-
(so far, i have 5 total hours of fable saved, since this one mission im at freezes, i just walk around town doing stuff, so i know it cant be just the game) all my other games are either cd format or are up to 3 layers, of which my MK, Hitman, NBA street are all single layers, halo 1 and 2 are double layers, but Fable is a 4, and i originally thought since ONLY Fable wasnt working it had to be a lense problem- maybe there is too much dust on the lense that prevents it from reading past the second or third layers.

Yea well I did it l337 without puncturing and of the bottom stickers so there was no possible way to tell I opened it :-D.

Well, im close to beating Fable now, but i still want/need a good blow to the lense and a Samsung drive i guess..
and about the Xbox cable recall, is anyone actually gonna send their cable back to get the new one? like 20 xbox cables have been reported as fire hazards resulting in smoke carpet burn, singes, shocks to the hand, and other shit like that

blu you cant do that with the newer ones, the sticker falls apart as you pull it off.
