For those of you who didn't hear, Scooter Libby's time in prison was suspended by Bush (though not the fine and charge). And it once again brings to mind the thought of why should we even have them? The only pardons I can remember are this one and the ones Clinton made, none of which were for other than purely political reasons. Anyway, thought?

The President has the right to grant pardons. A lot of presidents have granted many pardons through out our history. Honestly, it means nothing to me. I would probably care more if President Bush pardoned Charles Manson.

Have a party for a convicted criminal being released... show your "Values" to the world!

No sweat off my nutts....I'm not shocked by this at all...

Go on Republicans REJOICE! You set a convicted criminal free... Congratulations on showing America what you really stand for!
No worries Mate, Clinton let Bin Ladin through his fingers many times. Clinton's already shown the world for us what we really stand for. But like you said man, no sweat off my nuts. Libby still pays for fines and all that jazz.

Iv always believed that if a person was convicted of a crime then they should serve the time.

Funny if you think about it, since Cheney was supposed to be serving that sentence anyway... And now Libby's not even going to serve the full sentence. Hahaha funny yeah. Laughing at this kind of shit is what keeps me from hating the world.

l2english... Valerie Plame was an undercover agent for the CIA or FBI maybe and this information was leaked to the press... making it, you know, kind of difficult for her to do her job. Since it's hard to go undercover if everyone knows who you are. Libby was the scapegoat for the leak.
