Possible Dupe method.... Found out on classic d2

Sounds to simple to be true but here is goes anyway:

1. Find a town with no bridge. ( This is key) supposidly.

2. Get as far out of town as possible before entering the blood moor.

3. Cast the cow portal outside of town so it is in the blood moor... about 2 yards out.. give or take.

4. Here's where it gets tricky, some how you have to be able to enter the cow portal without getting an assertion error. Maybe someone in these forums knows how...

But anyway Once inside the portal you drop the itemsto a friend, he in turn saves and exits the game. Then re enter town bak through the portal.... and recieve the assertion error and drop from the game c/i.

Heard this from one of my rich friends on classic he said there is a working method with it though. I will test more to see if anything new comes up.

i thought it was impossible not to get c/i if cow portal is outside town and you try to enter it....tell us if anything works tho

Im missing the crucial part, Maybe someone in the forum knows how to enter the portal w/o getting the assertion error.

i just copied this from the packit list thread that i posted it explains how to enter cow portal if you havn't beat that difficulty yet but it also shows you how to enter when put of town.



have never tried using packet 16. the character making the cow game MUST be able to make cows no matter what difficulty. this method merely bypasses the sanity check diablo uses to make sure you finished that difficuly you are in. i will break it down for you.


step 1. get character who just beat normal in a game with the town opening at the top between gheed and charsi.

step 2. make cow portal outside of town by standing on th right side of the left opening in town

step 3. wait 5 minutes and leave and join with newly made character.

step 4. load snifferxp and sniff r60 packet

step 5. as soon as portal appears on minimap packet r60 should appear on screen. 600000xx00000 xx= portal id

step 6. type .send 1302000000xx000000 (with portal id in place of xx) do not hit return

step 7. move lvl 1 player to portal without putting cursor on portal and as soon as you get close hit return. you should now be in the moo farm with a lvl 1 character who has not beaten normal.

how the hell do u cast the portal out of town, i dont understand

yeah if u sent the packet to enter the cow portal i suppose it would work tho...
problem is even if it does work i'm not sure the dupe would....
but this also sounds like something that would be fairly difficult for blizard to patch

not really, all they have to do is make sure that map never spawns.

noooo, what they do is increase the sanity check to bloodmoor also.

We tryed to make it work a few months ago, and we always get c/i. Good Luck

oh yeah in the past u could easiely enter the cow portal

.load snifferxp
.snifferxp show r 50

<go away so the red isnt on ure map>
<go back till it is on ure map>

u get a packet starting with 50..^^

now uhm .send 50xxxxxxxxxx


and voila u where inside with this way u were able to lvl for example Dukes or Lords in HellCows


i dont play d2 anymore but all i know is that it didnt work anymore when i tried it a few days l8er

its r 60 and i explain how to do it, a few posts up and changing the sanity only makes it so you can't enter if you havn't beat that difficulty. so as long as you try this method (which i havn't done yet) with a character able to make cow portal than everything should be fine. i will try it out and see if it works.

if you look at the picture i am IN the moo farm not in the blood moor as you can see when the hand is on the rep portal it says blood moor not secret cow level. i never ran to andariel, just go to the corner of town and make.

ya i tried this cow portal dupe thing last night and got into the cow portal out of town but it didnt work for me either.
