I had opened the ports 6112-6119 TCp/UDP so that i could play starcraft and make games online, and i had problems with my router for another reason so i reset it to fix the problem, and when i went to reopen the ports for starcraft it keeps saying

Triggering port is already used by another service.

But it wont allow me to close the ports and reopen them as they are not visible in the port triggering or port forwarding page of my router set up

I am using a Netgear, model WDR614 V6

any help would be appreciated greatly!!

I have never used Netgear before, but you are completely unable to play SC online?

obvious first thing to do is to make sure your firmware is updated on the router. reseting your router sets it back to using the default firmware which might be the cause.
