PLZ-question for cd key

I put my cd-key in and it always says un valid but its the right one it says it on the paper where the cd .01 is in and i have no clue y it dosent work...\\\any suggestions y it dosent

Did you try it with/without the '-' ?

Oh and if its Half-Life 2, you will need to install the game using the disks first, and then register/unlock the game to steam.

Well I really can't help you too much then. You can try asking at www.steampowered.com in their forums. You did purchase your Half-Life 2 from a store right?

yes...future shop..and everything was succesful but now i can register

nah its ok rise..i fixed..lol im such a noob i was adding extra numbers...lmao...but thank you for ure time
