Please tell me you thoughts about Maphack idea

I have used maphack for Diablo since I can remember. If blizzard is so concerned about maphack why not do this. Create a patch that has a quest that reveals the entire map. From my perpspecitive most people would rather not play than having to reveal the map everytime they enter a game. I believe that this would definitely take care of the maphack problem as they see it because they would basically provide the users with it instead of worrying about third party software. Although this wouldnt fix problems with bots and other hacks it would be one step closer to stopping 3rd party software.

yeah it should be how it is in single player... once you go through one place... it shows it everytime u log in.

Or just dont bann MH-Users and leave them alone.

They dont have any problems with the MH itself imo. They just dont want the MH-Users to have an advantage.

Ok you could say that there would be no disadvantage with such a quest. Everybody could do it or leave it.
But they want you to have a revealed map every new game otherwise they would have left it like in the SP-mode. Dont know why they want it but they do. (I guess they think its more interesting this way)

Thats why there will never be anything that reveals your map. At least not legally

no one bothers ps2 users about their cheat codes, so how can you relate mh to that directly?

That seems like good idea, but new quest? Bleh.. that'd require some money for Blizzard (making those audio craps again from NPC, etc etc), or not, but meh, it will take their time more than just patching those mh.. no?

on their forum post, one the members said something about having the word "Hack" in "MapHack" that makes it illegal.

Im sure I like others do not intend on hurting Blizzard or there servers, but I cant see how maphack efects them in any way. True I dont want anyone hacking my system but doesnt it happen every day with things such as spyware and cookie tracking. As long as these things arent doing anything that pisses me off i dont know or even care what they do to me.

Well put! Great point..it is their job and they have been slacking..lol And after entering ps2 cheat codes so many times the game starts messing up :butterfly

Are you comparing people being able to know where the **** they are moving to with hacking into a computer? That's like comparing an orange with my left nut.

Actually it doesn't. Maphack is 100% clientside.

i think that the ezmap was put out by blizzard to catch ppl cheating... i would wait till a more safe map hack comes out.. il wait till mouse pad or something with a anti-detect is out... cause the ezmap shit got my cd key banned for 1 month.. and it really blows... cause now i cant play.. so i am thinking about selling my account.. if anyone is interested in a godly druid let me know ill sell it pay pal....

I was thinking the same thing concerning Blizz being responsible...luring people in..we had d2loader even though we have our cd in, blizz said not allowed although they always allowed it through other patches..no m/h..ugh ugh to BLIZZ! :hbut
