Playing from scratch

Hello there!

I'm not a new player, but I haven't been playing diablo2 for a long time. So I have to start from scratch in battlenet, and I was wondering what is the strongest build out there to play completely untwinked (to PVM and MF). I look forward to your suggestions. Thanks in advance,

Hammerdins are very trendy right now. They make the best leveling+mf bots.

hammerdin=massive damage

hammerdins are both good for rushing///mfing//baaling///and botting//and dueling

use the edit button.

hammerdins are also good for people that are rich. if your startin from scratch i would recommend a sorc to mf items first.

Thanks for your answers. So, if hammerdin needs more equipment than sorc, I think i'll take the second choice. What is the better build then? blizzard? fireball? lightning? bi/trielementalist?

Blizzard sorc has nice damage at low levels so you can start mfing soon, but if you want to kill hell countess you need lightning

my light sorce is awesome, she deals about 8k damage with chain lighning, and it drops entire room fulls. She has about 300 mf as do all my chars, but i must say that i use my pally much more as there are only 2 kinds of monsters in hell that are immune to hammers, and my merc can take them out fast. it all depends on how much time you're willing to spend to get the right gear. mine are prety simple, i just followed the builds here in the stickys, they're easy and very effective
