whats wrong with paying a monthly fee?

you buy a cell phone, it costs 40-100+ dollars for that...and then theres monthly fees of around 20-30 dollars.

you musnt have a job to pay for it, i do and i will probably buy WOW because it looks great.

I used to feel the same about monthly fees. But than I played FF11 for like 2 months (Not anymore) and the community of players is a lot better. Monthly fees ensure constant updates and patches. It also allows for more hack control. Its better overall. Dont bash monthly fees, its not them being greedy, it allows them to continue to release content for the game...

Seriously, my parents wouldn't want me paying monthly fees for a game... they think games waste my life enough as it is. Besides. Paying hundreds of dollars for two years or so of entertainment (possibly less with my attention span) is completely retarded. I would've definately bought games like WOW and Planetside if they didn't have these greedy monthly fees. But hey. When blizz stops releasing updates in about 6 months, and you realize that that money is now putting their executives' kids through college, you'll know what a mistake you make
