should you kill the defiled OUTSIDE of the temple or just pindle and his groupies?

also, i heard a weird rumor, here it is:
The more MF you have, the more items you find, but the less quality

in 1.10 i wouldn't kill pindle at all unless you have a bot, i have found much better drops off andy and meph.
