Pics in UMS games?

Hmm it seems pretty cool how people can do this nowadays... so.. i was wondering if n e 1 knows how to do it and what they need to do it? Id love to know ^_^.

If your talking about the terrain forming a picture on the mini map then you need BMP2SCM

This utility lets you take a .jpeg of your map. Pretty nice tool because Blizzard doesn't allow you to take .jpegs of your maps. All you do is right click on a map and click on: make jpeg. But this program requires you to install with Winzip. If you didn't install this program with Winzip, then this program won't work.​

Are you talking about an in game SS or a picture of the map. SCM JPG is for the map. Press print screen, then open it with photoshop or another image editing program.

Hmm maybe im not explaining this clearly. WHat i wanna know is how do people take normal .jpeg pics and put them into the mini map. Ive seen it a bound before.

Bmp2Scm is a pretty interesting program; its most famous use is in the "Sexy Pics" series. Perverts .

Basically, you input a picture, then take a blank 128x128 (Has to be this size) map, detect the color settings of the image (The color of each individual pixel that makes the picture) and select certian tiles to match up with the pixels of the picture.

As to how to select the right tiles (Each tile has a number), refer to the little help guide in Bmp2Scm.

A good idea to keep in mind is to have an image editor on hand (Adobe Photoshope is good) to reduce the amount of color a picture uses so you wont have to replace 1000 colors with different tiles.
