Heh, i just got my hands on Photoshop, and i wanted to make a Sig/ banner. couple of questions for any people that use photoshop out there.
1) I have the backround i want to use, but how do i go about stretching it and making it longer?
2) I have all the pictures and text i want to put in it, but how do i go about making images such as http://www.grumpyland.com/sonic/shadow1.jpg lose the white backround and just put the char in the banner?
3) ^ above question, but with text.

Open the image and go to image>image size and chane the size to you're desire.

1. Image > Image size

2. Filter > Extract

3. White on the text? wtf?

Filter > extract then what? i can't click OK, just cancel

You have to use the highlighter to circle around the object you want to extract, then fill it.

You can also go to edit->transform->resize to stretch images without changing the total size.
