Pc problems can someone please help with a solution

Ok I have 400 dollars.....my comp is downa nd a guy will fix it for like 3-500 bucks.....300 being a min job and 500 being a good job....

and he is not just fixing it he is adding stuff...

my dad will split the cost with me.....

should i spend the 150-250 bucks and get it fixed....save the other 150-200 bucks.......and get it fixed and then save like 400 bucks and get a new comp later

or jsut hold all 400 of my money and save 200 and get a btter comp
