I went to the one in Indy a few days ago, just curious who else decided to attend this year.

It was pretty awesome, I showed up when Unearth was taking their spot. I only heard the last song they did and it sounded pretty good. Then there was a few other bands that sort of sucked, then Lacuna Coil came on. They were freaking awesome for some little italian band that I had never heard of before. Then a few more bands went on, then Hatebreed...which I can't stand, but at least the pits were good. Then Slipknot came on and they were freaking awesome.

Then we moved over to the 2nd stage and got to hear Zakk Wylde and BLS, they were OK, but we were all tired from Slipknot so there was no partying going on over there :D After that, Superjoint Ritual came on...and with the old singer of Pantera backing them up, I was rather dissappointed.

Then Dimmu Borgir came on...they were fantastic. My favorite part of the show. :)

Then Slayer, Judas Priest (god they sucked...) then Ozzy.

It was a pretty good time :)`

-edit...can't believe I said Iron Maiden...JD=n00b

The only bands I would have cared to see were Dimmu Borgir and Lacuna Coil.

Good to know you enjoyed it though!

Holy crap I can't believe you though Judas Priest sucked(not Iron madien). I think Priest stole the show, they rocked out hard with Painkiller.

Dimmu Borgir were great though, alot of people who i was sitting around didn't like them. But it was great.

There were alot of good bands on the second stage. DevilDriver and God Forbid were so god damn heavy. Otep sucked when i saw them. They played 3 songs and her voice was choppy.

Yes, they were both awesome :)

In Flames was supposed to be on the tour but didn't go to the one in Indy...I was very upset about that one.

But yeah, no one with me knew who Dimmu Borgir were...I don't think anyone at Ozzfest really knew either beings I was the only one that I saw that was paying absolute attention :)

It was Black Sabbath, not just Ozzy. Even though I think Ozzy can put up a kickass show by himself, Black Sabbath put on the best show IMO. Not as much crowd action, but the best stage show :)

I went in '00, '01, and '02. Havn't decided to go the past two years (well this year because no money) because there were better concerts planned on the same date as Ozzfest. I think it was '02 where they started a fire in the stands, that was cool...

The only concert this year that was the same date as Ozzfest that I could have cared to see was Metallica...and either ZZ Top or Lynard Skynard was with them, can't remember.

I have a 4th cousin in ZZ top. Something Gibbons

I think Cradle of Filth were awesome last year, should of been on mainstage and kicked off SuperJoint Ritual, because they bassically suck so badly. It is pretty much early slayer.

should of brought Pantera back.

Yeah, he chewed up a Louisville Slugger.

I went, and it was a pretty good show. The only second stage band I paid attention to though was Lamb of God. Pretty good, was hoping for the Wall of Death but they didn't do it. Black Label Society put on a decent show, just decent not great. Superjoint just sucked. Little crowd engagement, and just not good songs. Dimmu was quite different, and seeing as how I've never heard any of their songs anymore, I quite enjoyed it. Then 1 of 2 bands I had waited for for so long came on: Slayer. They put on a very good show, ran through all the classics(Raining Blood, Angel of Death, Dead Skin Mask, Hell Awaits, Ghosts of War, Seasons in the Abyss, South of Heaven) and a few I didn't expect that much(Piece by Piece, Mandatory Suicide). After them came Judas Priest, which put on a very good show. The band may be old, but they can still kick ass with the best of them.

Then came what I had waited for for so long: Black Sabbath. Ozzy put on a good show, jumping around like a madman yelling 'We love you all!' when he got chances. Songs they ran through: Fairies Wear Boots, War Pigs, Black Sabbath, Iron Man, Children of the Grave, Into the Void, and Snowblind. They began to leave after that, but came back and started playing Sabbath Bloody Sabbath. Right before the vocal part though, they went into Paranoid. Their show made my night, absolutely incredible. One thing I'll never forgive myself for though, is looking away for like 5 seconds when confetti shot out, and in that short time, both Tony Iommi and Geezer Butler both threw their picks into the crowd. The two guys to the right of me caught them. :(

All in all though, had an awesome time, and if there's a kick-ass lineup next year, I'll be going back.

alright.... I thought geezer didn't use picks?

and yes superjoint ritual sucked gonads. Someone threw some weed onto the stage and for 20 seconds he leaned over and gave the mic to the crowd. Strange. He then told us to smoke weed, drink beer, and eat mushrooms, Quite the rollmodel.

I didn't like lamb of god that much, I love the music but they arent as good live, as atreyu are. I still think God Forbid and DevilDriver shocked me the most. Just ear shattering screams and grunts.
