Opinions about Dupe

I started this thread for opinions about skull's dupe. Please, only post your opinions here, I don't want that this becomes a flaming contest.

Actually, I thought that there would be smarter people in Diablo 2.

Everything you are thinking is "MeMeMe".
But you dont realize what happens, when everyone is duping like shit.

What will happen?
1st - People stop mfing (Why to mf, when you can get everything you want from games like "Free items join now" or you could dupe items yourself)
2nd - When people have accounts fulled of 99 characters + mules fulled of godly items. They finally realize "This is boring" and they think "I wish that the dupe would never come out.")

Diablo loses his interest. I hope that all hacks (Dupes, d2hackit, maphack) would never be released.
And the people who don't wanna hack.. They don't play anymore.

And when you blame Blizzard because they ban your accounts, what do you except them to do? Send you E-Mail "Please stop using hacks, okay?"

If I would be in blizzard with high rank and respect.
I would ban all accounts & characters in 1.10 and try to patch all hacks that are possible.

And you might say "Nah, that wouldn't happen."
I say that THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN

So the dupe isn't Paradise after all, its a nightmare.

#1: Bugged items and hacked items will always be made / created. Battle.net is nothing in numbers in comparison to the people making hacked / bugged items.

#2: B.net will NOT delete all chars / accounts in 1.10

I still think that the dupe shouldnt come out though, as there would be ABSOULOTELY no currency except for unids / cruels. And for gods sake if you do have a dupe method / module, keep it to yourself.

I, for one, am really happy about the fact that the new skulls dupe really doesn't work to well, and I hope that last one is never released. I never wanted this dupe, and never will want a dupe, because of the fact that it will infact destroy d2 completely.

in my opinion, i think it's good to have hacking in general but remove the duping aspect of it...on these forums there have been many excellent modules that have been created by very smart ppl that have absolutely nothing to do with duping...i'd say wut we should do is concentrate more on "utility" modules (e.g. modules that just purely help you play better and such)...publicly announced dupe modules are way too controversial in that some of them may work 100% of the time and some of them will not, but the other modules such as rbxp (UE = 1337 ) was an excellent module that always worked and i'm sure it helped out many ppl and of course it obviously had nothing to do with duping...rather, it helped you get that second (or third, or fourth, or fifth) chance to make that cruel you've always wanted...in essence, wut i'm trying to say is screw duping shit, it's all about the good "utility" modules (as i would like to call them)!!!!!!!

personally, i do agree that duping ruins the game - thats why i quit it....

however, I would much rather fight someone with all the best duped items ever, instead of a ****1NG amazon that uses all the duelling utilities, such as scroll etc..

THIS is what ruins the game most to me.

I think that ppl should be thanking skull more what he is doing. THis game would be a addiction such as Everquest if there wasnt fast ways to get around bnet. Such things like rushes and duping is how we get around the long hard challenging game itself. Once all the objectives of the game is met there is no more reason to play it. Objectives like getting the best items in the game and lvling and stuff like that. Skull is pissed that we started complaining how the dupe doesnt work and it just a waste of time. I do think that dupes ruin the game because after the frist major dupe came out the currancy was lost and a new one had to be found. Sojs......... i liked them much better than 3/20/20s and so did the ppl of the game. DUpes give newbs and ppl who try so hard to get good items more of a chance in the game. So ty skull for the all the newbs out there and keep making us happy with the hope of a new working dupe to come out. IM still waiting if he can finish the other dupe and see if that one works!

So when you can get best stuff + good lvl character in a day, (Just taking stuff that you recently duped from your mules & get rushed. [Its not hard to get rushed, when you can offer like valors + gazes to the one who rushes you]) what do you do next?

You got best items in the game and a good lvl character. You got nothing more to do anymore, except start a new character. Sure you can duel, but you get bored to dueling in less than a hour. Well you can rush your friends too, but is that what you want to spend your time to? No.

Thats why me & my friend started a new characters, and started to play from start.
We use NO MAP HACK nor RUSHES & STARTING STUFF.
We have been legitly playing hack-free game, and now we are at Nightmare act4. I am necro he is a barbarian. (Our Normal Diablo dropped Ume's Lament[or w/e its called] - lucky.)

And actually, I enjoy playing like this more than playing with dupes & hacks.

Just try playing like this, then you'll notice how much funnier it is to play hackfree game with your friends starting from beginning.
I don't D2 anymore so we won't be able to continue.

Personally, I dont like using any hacked items. I just use them to MF. Hex's to keep me alive. 180%mf ith bow, etc. That is why I am starting to play only Hardcore without rush. I think Diablo is actually impossible to beat without Rushes tho

Even though I'm not really worried about the dupe entirely TOO much, I do agree that duping does kinda ruin D2. I screws up the entire currency, and makes people want to quit playing the game. But on the other hand, say a person with a personal dupe that duped for themselves and their friends, I would consider that ok.

In my opinion _everyone_ who uses hacks, dupes, ith, bots and such shit, is too stupid to play the game... just LOL! And don't answer with "I played the game so much, it's boring to play normal and i want to try something new" blabla... play another game!

I havn't really good things... but it's more fun to find good things alone during a normal questgame. Oh yes and: Meph and Pindleruns sux too!

I've actually played that way before (wow) and actually enjoyed it. Then about 2 weeks later that char almost instantly became a lvl 85 with dupes and hacked out gear. lol.... whoooooooops.
