Since I have no idea what you're talking about, I'll answer in the most ambiguous way I can; online degrees aren't total bull****.

Yeah, but even if you do that, and manage to pass it. There will be times where that isn't enough. Some workplaces look that you went to a respected college.

well thats just about out of the question....im not retarted or anything, its just that high school wasn't a big part of my life....i got A's-B's n stuff...but for my senior year i only had 3 classes :p ...I graduated early and didn't even bother taking the ACT/SAT - so all hope of me going to some respected college is just about out of the question

- plus i have a very negative view on college, but thats another story

You should have probably gave the ACT/SATs a shot, then planned out your options depending on your results.

But it is a standardized test, you can't do much about that.

If you lived in Canada, you wouldnt have these problems. You would just have to do an EQAO exam in Grade 10 (English Literacy), then get a decent % avg in said course. And depending on the college, you may need to to take an english exam before entering.

Trying to get work in a design field employers are more likely to look at your portfolio rather than where you went to college. Still... a design degree online...? Uh...you'd miss the opportunity to do crits and most of your work would have to be digital. That would be lame as hell.

Yeah, I forgot. CB is indeed right. There is a portfolio requirement in college. You just need to be capable of doing basic things like drawing hands (visual arts) or basic ads and graphics (gfx design).

However, it still might be wise to have some form of training. But if you need to do online work, then do it. But be sure it is a respected and certified school. Or you are going to break.

If you don't mind living in Waterloo you can live with me. I live about 2 minutes from my university, so I pretty much show up late to every class half awake.

We have an extra room upstairs (though getting them to give up their weed room would be a challenge) and it would only be 255$CAN per month.

yeah sure move on up here.

If you do come to Canada though, you will still need to have your high school transcripts, money converted to CDN and you need a portfolio.
