OMG **** 1.16 replays

Oh my god, I am getting so pissed off that I cannot watch a single GoSu replay because the new ****ing patch ****ed it up so you can't watch replays that are of older versions.

That needs to be changed, it's ****ing stupid.

Replays ruin warcraft, simply because there is no originality coming from the game anymore. No one makes their own Build orders, no one makes their own unit combos, everyone jsut clicks on the download buttons, and watches a serious player do soemthing they thought of. That is where the gay cookie cutter strats emerged from, then when those lose the noobs turn around on the bnet forums and cry imbalanced cause when the Gosu strat didnt work so they lost to an imbalance. It sickens me.

take Tillerman's advice, dont watch replays of high level winners. Dont watch replays of yourself winning, watch replays of yourself losing. that way u know what you do, what u need to improve upon. That improves your game, not copying other people

Wrong watching pro's winning + mirror = you win. I mean you do it all the time pan. All your starts are on WCReplays don't deny it. Garg + goul = you sure didn'tmake it up. Mass destr + draining mana out of each other = You didn't make it up.

Necros+ meat wagon =bei did in 1.11 you didn't make it up

So why don't you get some new strats first..


Tri hero = you didn't deciede that tri hero is good you seen some one else do and were like cool I can use Blizzards lack of balance and abuse this.

I dont use ghouls+gargs, I dont mass destroyers(I tried it maybe once), necrowagon was a strat I think Kaldaris sugested when the game first came out(at 1.07). I personaly never use three heros unless I deem it necissary, bhut its obvious 3 heros are going to be good.

All i can say is UD got it good.. but it takes smarts, players are getting smarter. I got shut down by an ud player today trying fast expo. ofcourse he started in on me calling me noob, cuase he had me, then we talked for a min.

mass hunts = mass gargs, dott/dryad tech = mass ghouls + stats

everything the ud need to take on ne with the addition of stats comes from a tier 1 building

if NE gets a fast expo up for more than 5min. ud should call it quits. On the other hand, ud are great harvesters and have low units cost, making the fast expo a must..

ofcourse tri hero will always > one hero.

playing, discussing, and testing > replays

Sounds like a good idea watchin yourself lose. More people need to do that cause there's a real lack of original strategies on bnet.

Most people (which r noobs) jsut copy strats from better peeps n can't do it right so they all stay as noobs. And to get better they look at more replays to get better but still can't do it right, so they never improve(much). It's a never endin cycle.

You're right because it ruined me too. Actually it is ok only if from what you use (the same as in replays) you can counter and forget about 'how they do in replays'.

Sak, imagine if Warcraft decided to record each match as a WMV/MPG/AVI..... Heck, it would be so crap and large. Warcraft made it that way for a reason.

Replays are the only way I can see to increase my speed in my strats. Damn it, I haven't even played 1 game since the new patch :-/.

No, that's teh lame problem, not even in 1.15. It sucks man. So even if you just have one of yourself, can't watch it.

there is such thing has version switch's. Thier a huge pain though.

Do any of you watch vod's of real time game play? It's actually alot more productive to watch, especially gosu's cuase you can see everything they do that you cant in normal replays. You can actually see how fast these guys are using hot keys, and controlling thier army, and base simotaniously. I watched one of a gosu orcs point of view in 2v2, and blew my mind how incredibly fast these guys really are.

again these can be a big hassle though cuase of their huge file size and dl time.

Really you have to watch replays it helps you, you can use it as a base vs something but you should add something of yours, like how many people get mortars vs NE dryads and hunts?
