Are you positive that file gave you a virus? You could have possibly already had it? Will someone possibly scan this file, and make sure? I would...but I don't have any virus scanning tools at the moment (because I use linux, and it's not a big deal.).

It says you cannot delete certain viruses (files) because they are in use by windows, and are most likely trojans. What you should do, is reboot your computer, press f8 right when it starts up. Choose "enter safe mode", and re-run your virus scanning tools, and adware tools in safe mode. Safe mode allows you to run windows, with very little programs/drivers loaded at started (ie you cannot connect to the net in safe mode...the drivers aren't loaded.) This allows you to delete harmful files, because they are no longer being used by your OS.

Try that, and report back to us. Reformatting should be a last resort. Thank you for re-making your thread, in a readable english language ;)

Whenever you want to go into safe mode...you press f8 at startup. That goes to a menu, and you choose to load in safe mode. If you don't press f8, you don't get that manu, and you load back into normal windows.

So yes, you just reboot from safe mode, like normal...and it will go back to the regular windows mode.

I don't feel good to be the one saying this, but you deserve everything that happened. Using those piece of shit programs is what drove me away from Bnet.

Thank you for your opinion, but it wasn't really necessary. I'm too lazy to warn you, and don't want to...so I'll just tell you that's trolling :).

Although I do agree with you partly...whenever you download something like that, you download it at your own risk. ALWAYS scan files like those, before opening them, EVEN IF YOU TRUST THE SITE.

Not positive on that, until someone scans the file ;). Until then, just don't download it. Lol.

Ive known mewgood was trojan's and keyloggers for like a year and a half now, thats why i always tell people not to go there and i took them out of the bnet hacking stickie. If you need something, go to the bnet hacking stickie, when i was mod, i fixed it up totally and make it completly up to date. If it isnt there, go to www.blizzhackers.com and go to the forums, then the diablo section (any part of it) and at the top itwill say "official download stickie", click on that, anything you cant find here will be there. I highly sujest formating every time you get a trojan or a keylogger,it doesnt matter if it says it is removed, that is very bad for your os and ofton messes it up, if you dont notice it now, you will in the future. If you dont own a recovery cd or a operating system cd, i sujest you go buy one or do whats your not suppost to do, i think you know what i mean.

Format evertime you get a trojan? LOL. I think not. That's way too much trouble, and beyond necessary. If that were the case, many people that post here would be reformatting every other week. Trojans are one of the most common types of virii, and usually for the most part do little to no damage. If you remove them properly, chances are there's no point in reformatting. Yes, some instances of the trojan(s) may still be in the windows registry, but without the trojan itself still on the computer, it's basically useless.
