And i was wondering if we can send a packet saying we have the newest patch. when infact you have an old patch. Now you can go on and use old dupes or something?

wait whos applicatio ndo they use theirs or ours?

what im saying is maybe we can fake te he server out.

I got this idea when i was using wpe on the matrix online and i noticed the first send packet containts data on newest patch version or something?

Do you think if it was possible, that after numerous versions and the influx of players from other games that no one would find it until your idea now?

Let me rephrase, do you think if it was possible that one of the other great programmers wouldn't have done it already?

i dont think it would be possible, the idea sounds like this to me:

"I have windows 95, can it run windowsXP applications?"

Hmm, Where Do You Think?

They banned him for a day...

Neways when looking at the packets for the logon, it seems they exchange numbers like this:
They send:
Code:
bla bla bla [some filename] bla bla bla
and what it looks like we send:
Code:
blablablabla [some filename] {some crap} A=2.6556564 B=7.213356753 C=4.3654532123
(all the nums are <10 and >0, have many nums past the decimal point like show, and seem quite random)
*MY Theory*
What I think is that it is asking for the hash of a certain file, and we return the hash, saying that A=whatever, B=whatever, and C=whatever

Therefore, it is about 100% impossible to do this, due to the fact (1) you have to block the return packet (2) send a valid one of the file they are asking for. This is assuming my theory is correct.

I thought we got rid of this guy.... and no you can't fake a packet saying you have and old patch. I'm sure there were also some server side fixes along with those rollbacks even if you could.
