redo of my old diablo map.
Originally i created a diablo map for roc. it was ok, but a lot of things were missing and it didnt work properly.
ive revisited the idea a few times, but never had the time. Now that i do, i wish to embark once again on the recreation of a diablo rpg
Original map:
Areas:
-there was a town
-church area
-catacomb area
-underground area
-hell area
all of these areas gave a very cramped feel
Characters:
Warrior upgraded to a diff class
Rogue upgraded to diff class
Sorcerer upgraded to diff class
Items:
-limited, but there were town portal items, red pots, blue pots, etc.
-drops were weapons, armor, and before the coins of frozen thrones, coin type items you returned to town for cash.
Monsters:
zombies, imps, felbats, goat clan, skeletons, the lightning guys, etc.
Bosses:
signature bosses like the butcher, king leoric, and later bosses including end boss diablo

I've liked my version of diablo more than the others available, also the fact that frozen throne adds a lot more options makes a redo of my diablo map interesting.
here are my ideas for updates:
-start over from scratch
-new experience system(past lvl 10 instead of getting stuck at lvl 10)
-new exits for the dungeons
-new monster types
-new quest system
-unidentified items
-coins instead of items that looked like coins
-new skill system, store skills for later? needs deep thought
-larger dungeons
-skinning?
-secret cow level?
-give different difficulties, normal, nightmare(slower leveling?), hell(with multiple bosses?) and of course: hardcore mode.
-load ability
-levels go to 50?
ok, comments, ideas on how to go about making skills....
