Ive got my G.E.D dropped out of high school with a 11th grade education can I do anything with my life. I don't really have any like good traits like mechanic or some bullshit and I don't want to work at this fastfood restaurant for the rest of my life. just and average guy. If I do end up going to a community college will employers hire me with a G.E.D? I just been thinking fuck do i need to go back to high school to have any success in life? Does anyone have any experience with this shit? Am i fucked?

pretty sure after junior college a GED won't much matter, as most ask for your highest level of education completed, which would be BA or whatever you go for.

just get with a counselor as soon as possible and look at your options. They should help you get on track to transfer or if don't want to go to a traditional college look into the apprenticeship programs they offer.

don't go after a job. Be self employed and live a free life.

just watch all the videos there's like 4.

I got my G.E.D. when I was sixteen. Soon as I finished with school I got a job in retail, worked 40 hrs a week. Now I'm 18 and I'm starting Community College studying psychology. Not sure where it will take me, but I want to get an education. High School just wasn't for me. I was too concerned with being out all night and doin other stupid shit so my grades started getting worse and they told me I had 2 options either GED or repeat a grade. I said fuck it and dropped out. Most community colleges will even take off how much money you have to pay depending on how high your GED score was. So as long as you have some sort of college education most employers aren't concerned with the fact you dropped out...

And if college doesn't work out there's always construction.

Technically, you don't need to finish high school if you get a GED. Hell, this one kid that used to piss all over school and schooling dropped out when he was 16, got his GED, and is like a year away from his masters at a state university at the age of 22. Just depends on how determined/focused you are. Does high school help? Yeah, cause when most people are 16 they aren't ready to live on their own and be their own person and what not. But it's not like dropping out of high school is the end of the world and you're doomed to work fast food chains for the rest of your life.

And even if you do, the store manager at my Steak and Shake when I used to work there pulled in like 85grand a year before bonuses, which is pretty respectable. Hell, one of the managers who was literally 20 days older than me was pulling in something like 30,000$ and had the option of running her own store when she would be 22 making something like 45,000$ a year. I'd say that's pretty substantial cash for a 22 year old to be making for working at a fast food place, wouldn't you?

Dropping out is a stupid thing to do. I wouldn't give a job to someone who couldn't handle 7 hours of doing absolutely nothing.

Around here it's customary to stop putting your high school on your resume after you graduate college (also not uncommon for people in college to exclude the high school from their resume), so the lack of graduating high school won't matter because it can be excluded. If you want to shoot high, get into whatever college you can, be it community or not and then transfer after 1 or 2 years so you can get your BA/BS from a college with a bit more of a reputation.
