Japanese website Mainichi has revealed that Microsoft's next-generation Xbox 360 console will come equipped with a parental locking system that can be used to prevent children from accessing games unsuitable for their age range, thus preventing the triggering of murderous urges in little Johnnys and Janes everywhere.

The site describes how parents will be able to set-up the console so that it will only play games with suitable age ratings, with the console reading data from the game disc to ascertain whether or not the age rating is appropriate. Whether or not children will be able to access online chatrooms will also be put into parent's hands.

Eh, its not that big of deal now I guess because to buy M rated games, you have to be of age. But I guess its handy in some way. It won't effect me though.

I wish they would drop that damn argument. Games do not make kids murder, and if it did in extreme cases it would be only the parents fault.

Who cares about the lock though. Unless you are too young ;) .
