Official No Cd Hack Thread

I am tired of all of you guys posting this. I think this is worthy of a sticky, if it will cut back on the redundant posts about this topic.

Here are the exact instructions to get the Starcraft installed so that you don't need the cd.

1. Install Starcraft/Brood War as you normally would. After this is done, return the CD back to your friend or whoever, because you no longer need it.

2. Go here (http://milalcom.co.kr/wwwboard-3.0.1/data/pds1/SCLoader.zip) and Save the zip file.

3. Extract the contents (StarCD.reg, INSTALL.EXE, SCLoader.exe) to C:\Program Files\Starcraft.

4. Double click on the file StarCD.reg.

5. From now on, to load starcraft, double click on SCLoader.exe (You can make a shortcut to SCLoader.exe replacing your shortcut to Starcraft.exe onto your desktop).

Umm Archn look at the date of my post 09-14-2003 05:51 PM It had been there for a while and also that link is the same as yours and (i think) you changed it from a corrupted one to a working one which was the link in my post

I got a question. I use the ScLoad.exe now and it works great (b.net!), but can Blizzard find out you use this somehow, and then ban your cd key or close your account? They always say they get people who use hacks and third-party stuff. So is there a chance all I be caught?

As far as I know all this program does is modify where the datafiles are read (from the cd or your hard drive) and cannot be detected.

Go to www.battle.net and install the patch from there.

umm... this crack turns off the music.. like when u load the game theres the music playing.. now its silent nor is there in game music

it doesn work on my pc.i extracted it to sc folder adn i double clicked on the sc loader the it still says
starcraft is unable to read a required file.and i have to press exit
