Meh, probably meant more to the Americans, I rated it B, seems like the regular inspirational rant.

I thought it was alright. No really 'quotable' phrase in there (saw the transcript), but overall I thought it's pretty decent. Liked the Yes We Can one much better though.

I think Obama is generally a powerful speaker. Afterall..look at all the people he rallies up. I'm more interested in what he'll actually do, however. Though I do have faith he'll get things sort of back on track.

but i dont think he will get much of it done personally. and now that our economy is going to shit, everyones going to be anxious for him to do things that could take a LOT longer than his term to get done. he's going to piss a lot of people off.

speech was pretty good but obama himself is a pretty poor speaker. he's way too dependent on his teleprompter. apparently, he brings it everywhere. the few times it glitched he completely screws up. i think there are some vids on youtube to illustrate this

Well I will give him props for getting people pumped but that is about it. More than likely people or as another said teleprompters are doing all the real work. So I give him a C for effort. It seems to me all his speeches give hope to people but what I am looking for is an explanation of how he is going to do things. Realize he said all throughout his campaign he was going to pull out of the middle east. Now he deploys troops to Afghanistan... I'm sure that made quite a few people happy. Further more he probably did not know what was going on till he was debriefed by our intelligence. Does anyone here agree on his stimulus package? I think it had a few unnecessary expenditures. I know its way too early to say he is going to be a horrible president but I feel he could screw up our country. Especially with all this global warming talk going on. I hear with the new emission restriction in exp. California it could cause plants to cut back on jobs or even worse shut down.
