shadow hunter underrated???

i think the shadow hunter is extremely underrated. he is really useful becuause he can heal himself and other units and his serpent wards own when at a high level. big bad voodoo is really good too. i usually get him as a second or third hero (depends: if there is a tavern nearby i usually get naga). i usually go fs first. who else thinks shadowhunter is underrated?

Shadow hunter is great, I usually use him as a second hero. Wards and hex are the skills I concentrate on, healing wave just costs too much mana to be useful until at least level 2. If I am using blademaster or farseer first, I get him second usually with hex as first skill. If he's my first hero (kinda rare) I get wards first.

Underrated?!? Dude go play more ladder games, every orc player goes Far Seer first and Shadow Hunter second.

I usally get BM first the then SH so i can use his healing wave on my guys. i dont usally use hex that much xpt for stopping opponents stupid channeling spells. and Serpent wards come in handy once u get them fully upgraded. 41-45 is quite good and you can have almost have 6 out at once. good for helping against air power. and BIG BAD VOODO is good but the spell makes him so bright that the oppoent jst focas fire on him and he dies really quick. but on the other hand your units are invuln and hacking way at the bad guys.

Healing wave is very annoying and hex is very abusive.
I mostly use him as the second hero, when i dont, i use naga.

HAX IT! Remember kids, Hex is Hax.

SH is pretty much a required second hero versus an Undead opponent unless you're going solo TC. Most strategies against UD revolve around the use of Hex. The most known anti-UD strategies that I've seen are:

1. Mass Wyverns. Hex comes in to pick out a unit/hero to target, and stops the DK from healing, because he can't coil a critter.

2. Tri-hero to Tauren/BL. Hex is needed second here. It gives the Blademaster (first hero in this) a unit to target, and again, cannot be healed by the DK. Proceed to the Naga Sea Witch as your third.

3. TC/Grunt to army counters. Works well, because the TC is unstoppable after level 5.

Shadow Hunter is integral in most strategies, torubu is right. Even weak heros are strong at times. With the right amount of micro, they don't need to die. ;)

Shadow hunter is a great support hero but his lvl 6 is questionable...only useful in rare occasion most likely then not its just a sign that says kill me now...

SH Is an agility hero, that should be an intellegence hero. Sh has orcs hero healingspell, and hex which is bordering on overpowered. HEx lasts an incredibly length on a unit, and with each elvel a hero becomes more and more vulnerabe to hex. especialy since it disables other heros healin.

SH is a good hero, but I agree his level 6 does nothing but put a big targe on his ass.

Yeah. Hex can put a hero out for a bit and it can basically take a unit out for a regular lengthed skirmish which can be important in solo games. BBV usually does mean focus fire which is usually why I go invuln. potion then BBV and if I get focus fired a little before red I drop out and use a healing pot.
He's gunna be focus fired anyways if he's tossing out a constant healing wave anyways.
