Whatca readin?

I'm working on Lolita by Vladimir Nobokov.
So far I really love this book. He has such a different writing style, its fresh to me (even though it was written in the 50's.) He knows how to make such taboo subject matter hilarious.
I'm going to start calling all girl children nymphets.

I was reading American Gods by Neil Gaiman, but I kinda lost interest. Haven't picked up a book in a while, but I'll probably start reading back through the Dresden Files books again seeing as the next one comes out on April 1st.

The Gunslinger, Stephen King...I have tried starting the book three times now, but I always get distracted.

Think I've read most of the books mentioned so far. Gunslinger was kind of homoerotic and a lot of it seemed too random. The part where he takes out an entire town of people was cool though.

Last book I read recommended by CB was Lockpick Pornography, which was about gay terrorism.

Now I'm starting Les Miserables (Less Miz-er-ables).

I finished Stephen King's Everything's Eventual: 14 short stories, most of which are really well written, but Stephen king's literary stories are definitely better than his horror ones.

I've gotten back to finishing off Planet Simpsons, by Chris Turner which is an analysis of the "Pop culture phenomenon" that is the Simpsons, and how the Simpsons "documented an era and Defined a generation". I'm about 3/4 of the way through(and have been for some time now)

nice.

Lolita is crazy. Nabokov really knows how to tell a story. Every description he writes paints a clear picture in my mind. Im excited by it because I can tell he is building up to something, but then he drops it down a bit. I can't wait to see what happens.
I'm also catching allot of foreshadowing as I get further along.
I'm glad I never saw the movies or anything.

Once in awhile I pick up If You Liked School You'll Love Work, by Irvine Welsh. I read one of the stories then put it back down for awhile.

I think I'd be let down by Lolita since I've read so many of Bret's posts.
