If there is a game called free items it probably is just a joke and that person either has no life or is trying to transfer quickly.

If there is a game that says something like "i will dupe for you" its a scam trust me people have tryed it on me

And if there is a person who tells you to download anything like an occy maker dont download it because it drops all of your items, i know, i have learned from experience! If you do want to try it try it on single player.

If you are lucky there is a very low chance you just might get something in a free item game. I used to give out items in games like that when i was rich.
O and addition U drop I drop games are filled up people with picket you can test it by dropping a rejevi pot.

funny though...a couple of days ago there really was a guy who was quitting d2 and was giving away all his stuff. i was more than happy when i got his dusk enigma, 2 perf war travs, raven spiral, 4 100pdscs, 2 shakos, a ber'd ss, 5% bk ring, 3 sojs, stone emblem ammy, 227% gf with 40/13max jewel, and a few pretty good charms.

o yea...and also, a few months ago, shortly after i started ladder, a quitter thought i was a nice guy so he gave me a whole bunch of pally gear such as hoz and shaftstop. nothing especially high-end, but it was a huge jump-start for me. i guess it's sorta like karma, since back when i mfed a lot with my sorc, i gave away tons of extra stuff to newbies. nothing too great, but anyone else would've just sold em to a vendor.

btw...believe me...i am anything but lucky. getting disconnected while self-xfering a 6/6/3 cta crystal sword was the last thing i expected. that was last year.

When I stopped playing D2 in 1.09 I gave a password list for about 120 of my mule accounts away to some guy that had his first D2 day. He did not even beat Andariel norm with his own char but had enough duped and legit godly items to equip chars for the rest of his life. Other then that I had a giveaway game every thursday. There were some people that came each week to get stuff hehe. So it is not always faked. Just don't download anything and do not give them anything in return. Giveaway is not trade.

i got lots of free good stuff. Someone gave me a trang-oul plate and a unique black coloured gothic plate(forgot the name of it) all for free.

Not all games that mention free items have scams or tricks involved in them. After doing some runs and get a few unique and set items that may be helpful to newbs but useless to me, I create a 'free item' game and just drop them.
But yes, it is still important to becareful.

The free stuff games isnt always true. I picked up a few 100pdsc in free stuff games. got shaft+ a few other decent uniques
