Noobish bot question

hey, i was wondering. how do you make a bot channel mod? i am using stealthbot at the moment and the bot works fine, it just doesnt have mod status

ok, here's how you do it.

If your bot's name is Shadowulfe, then join channel
clan shadowulfe. you got to type clan and your bot's name.
...like for example: if my bot's name is SCBW and i want my bot to be channel moderator, I'd type /join clan scbw

Whatever you name your bot, the only way it can get ops(unless being designated by another clan ops) is to join clan YOURNAME
example; my bot is BOB
Only way I can get operator is in channel: Clan BOB

From there you can do stuff like Kick Ban, and with Stealth bot u got pretty good flood protection and what-not.

also if your channel is bob and your bot bob drops but you have another already desed and it is ops you can not designate another bot only the main channel name can give ops to other people

(For example purposes only, my bot will be named BOB)

Basicly what he is saying, if you can't keep 'BOB' ops, When you're logged on BOB type: /Designate NAME and the name you designated will also be operator with you. The max the channel can hold for ops is 2. Only you + 1 other.

Stealthbot v2.3

I downloaded stealthbot.
I followed the instructions in the readme.
I add my friend in the userlist as "name 999" then he try to ".giveup" or ".op" and it don't work.
the command ".pingme" work well.
He can't kick or ban an user and I can't do that with the bot.
I use Starcraft on battle.net
I dont know how I can resolve that problem

1. Make sure its all setup correctly, and your syntax is correct.
2. Make sure it has operator status.
3. Try StealthBot.Net.
4. Dont post in old threads.

And also make sure your bot is channel operatior so he can ban people when commands are sent to him so say u made it join channle op hi you would have to have a bout nammed hi to have access to ban out of the channel do you understand ? and dont post in old threads

um, I run my stealth bot, and it says "runtime error '372'" what does that mean? why won't i work?
