Yes, im aware of its a port related problem, but heres my problem, I have a linksys router, and in the port forwarding application menu the word WarcraftIII will not fit it just goes to Warcraf and won't go any further, ive tried everything else even disabling the firewall. How can I fix this?

are you sure you're entering the info into the correct field? Give me the exact model number you have for your linksys router and I can see about helping.

It was probably because the old one you had was attached to a router, that you didnt open the ports for.

I used to be on Wc3. Now I just login and play 5 games every 2 weeks, to avoid having my account erased.

Whether or not if you can fit WarcraftIII into a textbox shouldn't be the problem as to why you're unable to host games on BNet.

You need to portforward as you mentioned in your post, but just to make sure that you're actually doing the steps correctly, follow these instructions:

Copy and paste 192.168.1.1 into the address bar of your web browser.

Go to Applications and Gaming

Open up the ports 6112 and 4000 on UDP and TCP. Put in whatever your IP address is and check off Enable.

Run Warcraft III and host.

I made a sticky for this on Wc3 Discussion anyways.

It pretty much covers all Bnet games. And besides, not all routers use that address.

The connetcion to this thread will be: reinstall the game and if necessary download an image of the Expansion, then you will be able to play. Theroy, you too....

I'm officially retired from ladder. What if I had done higher level and then reset would clear it all? This is not limited to not playing ladder at all, that would be rather casual games with whoever is left from this dying game. My teammates suddenly disappeared or left, instead a pro human joined but... as if he will teach me or as if he knows me or as if I will have a wish to get better... No one to play with, everyone's gone, Retired, Retired, Retired!!! Why should I play for higher levels when 4 years I couldn't be something good unlike ppl that became smth good with amazing stats for less time? Why should I play with intention to get better when I did wayy too little for 4 years?

So get your TFT working asap, Theroy and let's play, If you want to, play another race, I don't care. I made 5:0 AT with someone who barely plays orc but is good in solo, so I would just like to play doesn't matter what race you will be, I don't even care what stats we get. Let's play as retired and for fun...

I think that if you would have a basic search online ....you would find some material on that……may be a guide or a e-book……but in my opinion the best way to master a game is to play it on an on and the experience you have against your competitors will be the ultimate resource of learning. You can always play the game online and learn from that. There is dominoes game which is a good online portal for dominoes players to make them more advanced with games against different players around the globe.

How do you host on a mac?
I only use Leopard for programming. But it should still be the same, if its a router problem. Just use Safari or Mozilla Firefox to access your router config.
