No Name Land?

i joined a game called 'bugged here' and the people in the game said that the necro could spawn monsters or something like that, well i noticed a whole bunch of fanatic blood maggots blocking the entrance to the blood moor with a red portal that said (i think) 'no name land', anyway i went to the cold plains wp and backtracked - killed most of them with lightning fury when another guy in the game said that my cd-key would be banned in 2 weeks for coming in contact with them; is this true and can i possibly stop it from happening? :usad

I highly doubt that you would get banned for joining the same game as another person.

the portal was just a trick where you make the cowportal spawn out of town, i use to knwo how to do it but i dont remember how anymore.

as for the blood maggots, well, you got me there *shrugs*

anyways, the portal trick wont get you banned, you should have taken screenshots for us though, ida liked to see the blood magots in a1...

the necro probably just went to a2 and revived a bunch of blood maggots.

were they black in color?

In order to open the Cow Portal out of town, you have to stand on the edge of the fence in act1, and it will open out of town. You use to be able to dupe with that method by running your cursor over it and basically causing a modified Alt+F4 rollback in a way. This was noticed fast and patched very quickly, you no longer drop when you go over the portal. You use to have to sniff the enter packet and send it if you wanted to go in it without clicking on it. If you open the cow portal out of town I don't know since I haven't done it since it was fixed, there shouldn't be any cows down there when you go down there. Since it's out of bounds the portal was given [no mans land] or something for a name.

Edit: To get it open in any act, you have to send the change act packet and transmute packet at the same time. At which point you can open it any act but it will be by the WP.

Never seen white maggots in D2, they are orange to me. Or am I wrong?

if im not mistaken, (unless theyve fixed this) back in 09 when i did this, there was a VERY small area from the edge of town in a1 and bloodmore, it would say you went to blood more, and you could shoot your arrows / use an attack / bo, but they wouldnt work (theyd be clientside, no one else would see you doing it) and youd be able to know your glitched in cause youd be shooting at someone but not actually hurting them, once you did this, you create the cow portal in this location (use to be easy for me to accomplish the glitch, not sure if its still possible) and the cow portal would open up into "no named land" or whatever.
