Few details are known about Nintendo's next-generation console, other than the codename and the fact Nintendo is aiming to push gameplay innovation over hardware performance. The specs on these pages include all currently known information.
The latest buzz on the upcoming Nintendo Revolution console is that its controller will skip the standard button-and-pad layout for an alternative interface, possibly a touchscreen (ala the DS, presumably). Then again, it could be that it’s motion activated. Or voice. Whatever the UI, the gang at Joystiq have some ideas on whether it’ll be worth the wait.
According to the unofficial reports, the new console will come equipped with a hard drive, use tilt sensitive controllers and will be broadband enabled. Games assumed to accompany the release of the new system will be titles from the Mario, Zelda and Super....
controllers have tilt-sensing gyroscopes, four controller ports on the system, twin processors and an internal hard drive, connectivity with the new version of the GameBoy, and games will come on HD-DVD discs.
KEEP it mind nothing is official, Most above are RUMORS but i just have to say. Nintendo did poorly on the NGC, and I don't know if Nintendo could do anything big in returning to a market dominated by Xbox and PS2. Nintendo said that even if the DS failed, they would not be bankrupt. However WIthout the GBA and DS I think Nintendo would be long dead (Gameboy being the highest selling system of all out doing the Playstation and XBOX and the DS pushing 2.8 million sold in Japan and the USA and an expected 6 million by march with it's release in Europe) The PS3 and XBOX2 already in many peoples minds and many look foreward to the next wave of heavy hitting consols, will nintendo keep going with that small wearker system and try and rely on third party support that didn't work to well with the NGC.Nintendo Europe MD David Gosen, the Revolution will not simply be a box that plugs into the back of your TV with controllers coming out of the front. This statement is absolutely fundamental. The Revolution will be something entirely new, a massive gamble and without question our most anticipated console at this time.
Most likely it will be revealed at E3 this year, but I am unsure as to wether Nintendo will "change the way games are played" or simply make another flop(something Nintendo has become quite good at ie. Virtual boy)
