Little DS bitch took me weeks to get (actualy my brother was getting it for me so he did all the looing) aparently, they took more pre-orders, than actual systems were shipped.

I now see why it has sold so well, like over Game boy products, Nintendo DS puts a beefed up nintendo 64 in my hand. I say Nintendo 64, because it's launch title was mario 64, but a beefed up version, with more levels and stars.

anywyas, the little bastard is powerful. It is really addictive, just the minigames alone were woth the game. Though mario 64 was the only good launch title, Im looking foreward to Metroid Prime Hunters, after playing the demo.

Just Like PS2 gmaes, or DVDs, the gameboy cartrages come in a small ahrd case. you shouldn't lose them at all

they are miniature cartriges. they are like 1 1/2 cm in width, and 2 cm in height.

Why I don't want to buy it:
-I don't have enough time to play the DS even if I had it.
-The size of the DS is too big for me to consider it portable.
-My lilttle cousin would piss the hell out of me to play it and when he would, he'd break it just like what he did to my GameCube.
-I have my eyes and money set for a PDA.
-All it does is provides entertainment for me. That's not enough.
-The power button.

-I don't have enough time to play the DS even if I had it.

u can do wireless chat also, there will be internet access wireless, and several other features, one hinting at something to do with watching TV

-The size of the DS is too big for me to consider it portable.

the power button does not get in the way, and you still need to hold the pwoer button to shut the system off. half the time the pen thingy(forgot name) is being used, which in no way comes even close to the power button. stop criying

I've only seen the DS once and that was a couple days ago and I thought it was about 1.5 times the length and width of a Gamboy Advance. Having it be able to flip makes the thickness bigger which is worse. Back then if I had a GBA in my pocket and I would bend down or something, I'd hear something crack or the buttons would be pushed giving me a weird feeling(Which is why I have a flip phone):ufo

Cell phones these days are having more options and capabilities being built in. It use to be just used for talking. Now there's a camera, video recorder, voice recorder, text messaging, internet, walkie talkie, etc.
For the most part, the DS can just play games.

Which is why I ain't getting one yet. Laptops are bigger with more functions which is open to more problems than a PDA. And a PDA has a lot of functions that PC's have. I actually want one of those Sony CLIÉ PDAs. Folds like a DS, around the same size, too. But can do more than play games.

you siad it about cellphones in your own post. Not only is text messaging on phones slow, but you have to rely on reception of a cellphone. and now you can't find a good phone anywhere, only miniature ones that have hsit reception cause manking seems to have this notion where everything makes things better? omg u can take a picture and send it, but its not like u can talk to someone becuase reception completely blows. Trust me, every cell phone i have ever talked on is pure shit. text is much better than sound. text is easier to send.

Not to mention, the DS text messaging is copmpletely free, and you have to pay for phones features, and continuing fees.

Did I also tell u how fast the DS can send text messages. with a stylus, text messaging is 50x faster. Pictochat which is the program is easy to use, and allows for fast typing.

then by your logic, PDAs will have oh so many more problems than the DS, cause more "functions" mean more problems.

I'm just going to take the maturity to end this debate/arguement right now. It's never ending. I just don't want to buy the DS. I don't even have enough money for a good meal at a restaurant since I had to do X-Mas Shopping. I got to start saving for Valentine's Day now.

Im selling mine because I need the money for other things. even though I see why its exciteing, I am not really into consloe games anymore. The ds is just a 64 stuffed into a gameboy. I have a gameqube and a Sp and I never use ither..

The Nokia N-Gage is also the worst-selling phone on the market, not to mention the worst selling console (handheld and homesystem combined or seperate). The new "CQ" didn't help things, either. Cingular has the system for free with activation of service on a two-year contract, and they still can barely sell it. Nokia spends all their profit from other "free candybar phones" (ala Verizon for example) on failed advertising.

I have a DS and am enjoying it. I got Ping Pals just because, and that game is quite fun. I just wonder what game I'll get next for it... I want to get Final Fantasy III when it comes out...
