And besides, they do SC2, C&C and some other futuristic models in war3, because this is the only editor and other progs that can do so advanced maps. If they are to make war3 maps in sc2 importing game interface etc, they'd better stay with war3.

C&C Generals is the only one that is 3D. Red Alert 2 is considered 2.5D.

Besides, the interface construction is = to Wc3. Its done to avoid writing code (games are programmed) from scratch with something they have already that works.
