The following is a list of things that you should know if you are new to diablo or just plain dumb.
-Trojan: A trojan is a type of virus kinda, its like the old story about the trojan horse, how they hid there army inside. well thats what happens, you download a program that you think is a dupe, they say it is and everything, well you download the program and its really a trojan, youve just "opened a door" so to speak. now whoever created this trojan has control of your computer, he/she can now access your files and F*ck you over.
-Dupes: There are no public dupes right now, anything you find on the web is either A. a lie, or B. really a virus/trojan.
-Public(pub)Private(priv): Public: As in "Public Dupes" for example, are dupes that anyone can get by typing in a website and downloading, or something that anyone knows; Private, as in "Private dupes" are dupes that a set of friends know, they do not tell anyone about them, they just use them, there are a few private dupes (or so said by rumors) but since they are private, no one will learn about them.
-Virus: (This is for the dumber ppl) A virus is any type of program that replicates itself and harms your computer
-Hacks: There are many types of hacks out there, Maphack,Trade hack, d2hackit,snifferxp,mephisto soulstone, so forth. If you want one, check the stickies, or use the Search button.
-If you are infected: If you become infected with a virus or trojan, there are many places to go, check the stickies in the Bnet Hacking section, ask these forums, or use the search button. Lots of people are willing to help you if you become infected, although some might make fun of you for downloading a virus. But whats worse, humiliation for 5 minutes or buying a new computer?
-Battleforums Rules that are broken by New comers: NEVER Double Post, Double posting is when you post, then you decide to say something else, so you create another post, one right after another, NEVER do this, it becomes annoying and can get you in trouble.
